Position Overview

We are seeking a SaaS Team Lead to not just join our team, but to reimagine our development process and lead us towards our company’s milestones.  If you are tired of adhering to an outdated development process and believe there is a better way to deliver technical products AND move faster than your peers, this role might be for you.  You like to celebrate shipping a great product and are not an Agile purist.  You know how to select the appropriate amount of ceremonies and processes to match our team and also fit your ideal process.  You should have an internal drive for growth, unmatched planning skills and a strong desire to solve actual business problems with repeatable processes.

We must be clear it is not enough to be an organized task master for this role.  We want you to also be a great manager of people to lead our development team and align them with our growth strategy.  You should understand the nuances of both project planning and adapting to unforeseen changes.  You recognize your approach may have to be different with individuals and you expect to work with a strong technical team who are fun, positive, and respectful.  By this point, you might be getting excited just thinking about how to design and own a development process you design.  We believe you have it in you and want you to embrace scoping out and delivering on an audacious road map. 

This leadership role is being created after we adapted to the changes COVID brought us.  We moved away from more services work, doubled down on our integration infrastructure, and used our excess development capacity to develop two SaaS applications and the infrastructure for more, all in 2020. 

Our core strategy is to help customers get the data they want in the system they know.  These SaaS applications have extended our offerings to we need to you work alongside our CEO to connect our applications (and road maps) into a cohesive suite of tools.  You will have direct input on how and what we prioritize to build.  We want you to not only push forward our development team with a great process, but also connect our product vision into an actionable plan.

You will be working alongside our CEO, who has built many SaaS products.  If you love the feeling of freedom to build a great development process on your own and lead the development team independently because you know a better way and feel confident you can take us there, we can’t wait to meet you.

What You’ll Need

5+ Years of technical project management experience

3+ years of technical management experience

Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules

Experience with dev projects built with JavaScript, JSON, .NET, Node, SQL and MySQL

Established track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive action.

Proven experience scoping a product road map and shipping to production

BA/BS degree required

What You’ll Do

Primary leader in designing an optimal development process.

Create and manage project plans; monitor and review project progress and timelines; adjust schedules and plans as needed.

Identify and resolve issues to ensure project success.

Manage day-to-day execution of project implementations.

Primary leader in planning, tracking, documentation and status updates for the project.

Develop positive working relationships with other non-development team members.

Facilitate requirements gathering and assist with the creation of project deliverables, as needed.

Facilitate and own the creation of technical design documents for complex projects, by interfacing with other team members, as needed.

Handle queue management of our team members.

Create pre-flight checklist to make projects development-ready.

Identify opportunities to leverage Integrate IQ team members’ unique skill sets.

Facilitate review sessions with management and technical teams.

Participate in end-to-end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management.

Have difficult conversations regarding budget, resources and timeline and formally capture and communicate outcomes of those meetings.

    How Long Does it Take?

    We pride ourselves on speed and accuracy. The Integrate IQ on-boarding process is extremely structured. From the beginning, we tell you what we need from you and what to expect from us, complete with deadlines for every phase of the project. Typically the process takes 2-3 weeks in total to complete.

    What if My Software Isn’t Listed?

    We’re not scared. As long as your software has an open API, we can connect it to HubSpot. Some of favorite projects have involved esoteric, niche softwares. Whether your software is in the cloud or the closet, odds are we’ll be able to connect it.

    Can’t Zapier Do This?

    Make no mistake: we LOVE Zapier and use it frequently. If Zapier has an integration that solves your problems, we strongly recommend you use it! If your integration needs to go deeper than what Zapier can provide, that’s where we come in.

    How Much Does it Cost?

    Every integration project comes with a one-time setup fee and a 12-month maintenance agreement.

    Monthly pricing is based on number of contacts. After the initial 12-month term, clients are moved to a month-to-month agreement.

    I’ve Been Told This Isn’t Possible. Is it?

    99% of the time, the answer is yes, it’s possible. We encourage you to challenge us on this. If you’ve been told it can’t be done, we’re the ones to call to get a no-nonsense final answer.

    I’m Not in the US – Can You Still Help?

    Of course! Our integration process can work anywhere. We have expert engineers fluent in both English and Spanish, and can work with you regardless of your location.
