What’s New at HubSpot UNBOUND 2026

New at unbound blog image

HubSpot UNBOUND 2026 (previously called INBOUND) was held in Boston September 16 to 18 and the Fall Spotlight keynote announced the biggest platform shift since HubSpot launched Breeze. The headline is not one feature. That is, Breeze is retiring as an umbrella brand and AI is becoming the operating layer of the whole product — not an add-on next to it.

If you run HubSpot day to day or you are the person who has to make custom integrations still work after a platform release, here’s what actually shipped, what is cosmetic, and what needs your attention before your next quarterly planning cycle. We say this as a HubSpot Diamond Solutions Partner who has to make these releases work in real client portals, not just write about them.

Breeze Is Retiring as a Brand Name, Not as a Product

Every Breeze-prefixed product is dropping the name, and the mapping isn’t as tidy as HubSpot’s messaging suggests. Breeze Assistant is the one exception, it keeps its name because it’s becoming the front door to everything else. Breeze Agents (renamed back in July 2026) is now Agent Hub. Breeze Studio is now Agent Builder, where custom agents actually get built. Breeze Intelligence’s data enrichment has been folded into Smart CRM and is now free at the Core Seat level. Marketing Studio is a separate, pre-existing product that got rebuilt this cycle, not a renamed Breeze tool. And Context Home isn’t a rename of anything, it’s new: a score of how complete your data is for the AI features to actually use. Nothing is being switched off. This is a naming change wrapped around a real architectural one: AI stops being a layer on top of HubSpot and becomes how HubSpot works.

Old Breeze Name New Name Status
Breeze Assistant Breeze Assistant Unchanged, this is the only name that stays
Breeze Agents Agent Hub Renamed July 2026, expanded at Fall Spotlight
Breeze Studio Agent Builder Renamed July 2026, where custom agents get built
Breeze Intelligence Smart CRM (data enrichment) Standard enrichment now free with Core Seats
(new, not a rename) Context Home New: scores how complete your data is for AI use

Context Home Is the Announcement That Matters Most

Context Home is where your portal keeps what it knows about your business, and every AI feature in HubSpot now reads from it. Most portals have an auto-generated version of this that no one has ever reviewed, which quietly weakens every agent, every AI-drafted email, and every campaign recommendation sitting on top of it.

This is the least expensive thing on the list to fix, and the one with the widest blast radius. Before you fire up a single new agent, audit what’s really in Context Home. Bad or stale context doesn’t make an agent cautious, it makes it confidently wrong.

A Real Agent Lineup, Not Just a Chatbot

Fall Spotlight shipped three new marketing agents plus a revenue agent, all in public beta:

  • Campaign Agent turns a stated goal into a full campaign plan: channels, message, and assets built around one objective
  • Content Agent researches before it writes, pulling brand voice, audience data, and competitive landscape into blog posts, LinkedIn content, and landing pages
  • A nurture agent personalizes every email in a sequence using CRM data, engagement signals, and live research
  • A new revenue agent chases unpaid invoices automatically

Agent Hub gives you a single view of every agent running across marketing, sales and service: what’s active, what it’s doing and what it produced. Agent Builder now has a much wider range of triggers to choose from, and you can migrate legacy workflows into agentic ones with one click when you’re ready, not before. Breeze Assistant now walks you through building a custom agent step-by-step, not leaving you with a blank canvas.

HubSpot Work, an AI-first workspace that orchestrates these agents against a single task, is in private beta. Too early. Worth following, but not worth building a Q4 plan around just yet.

The Other Releases: Revenue Hub and Smart CRM

the other releaseblog image

A few Fall Spotlight items received less stage time, but they’re still important to day-to-day work. Revenue Hub Contracts centralizes revenue teams for managing agreements from the initial sale through amendments, renewals, and downstream billing, and CPQ now supports standard pricing across markets, segments, and deal types so quotes stay consistent. And separately, Smart CRM got redesigned index views for Contacts, Companies and Deals, a cleaner layout and improved board view to find records and take action faster.

HubSpot AEO: Optimizing for the Answer, Not Just the Ranking

Public beta for HubSpot AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) is here. It shows how many times your brand is mentioned when a person asks ChatGPT, Gemini or another AI answer engine for a recommendation, and shows how competitors appear in those same responses. That’s HubSpot’s way of formally admitting that ranking on Google and being cited by an AI assistant are now two different jobs — and most marketing teams are only staffed for one. We’ve talked about what really moves the needle on AI engine optimization and native AEO tracking within HubSpot makes it easier to prove that work.

AI Connectors and MCP: HubSpot Data Outside HubSpot

ai connectors and mcp hubspot

HubSpot is broadening support for Model Context Protocol (MCP) so data from portals can be pulled into tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Claude and third-party apps can expose their own tools directly inside HubSpot Agent Builder. Developers are able to add a mcp-server component to an existing app and set platformVersion to 2026.09, which will automatically make that app’s tools available to HubSpot Agents. No separate setup is required on the customer’s side.

It also announced that it is the first CRM to integrate with ChatGPT Ads, so campaigns launched there will also attribute back to HubSpot contacts and deals alongside every other channel. Sales Hub’s self-updating CRM now captures call transcripts, email content and live meeting notes separately and auto-fills CRM fields for a rep to review and approve rather than entering manually.

What This Means for Your Business

None of this works well on top of a messy data layer. Before you activate any new agent:

  1. Audit what is actually in Context Home. If no one has ever been there, an agent is making decisions based on an old or auto-generated image of your business.
  2. Check bi-directional field mapping and sync frequency for every connected system, whether that’s Salesforce, NetSuite, or a custom-built HubSpot integration. An agent pulling from inconsistent records doesn’t work around the mess, it automates it faster.
  3. Decide which legacy workflows are worth migrating into an agentic version now versus later. One-click migration doesn’t mean every workflow benefits from it.
  4. If you operate under privacy rules with automated decision-making disclosure requirements, such as Australia’s Privacy Act amendments taking effect December 10, 2026, get ahead of documenting what an agent decides about individual contacts before it goes live, not after.

We’ve migrated 20 billion+ records into and across HubSpot portals via custom builds on 300+ platforms and the pattern is always the same when a platform ships a new AI capability: the teams getting real value out of it are the ones whose integrations were already syncing clean, current data. The failing teams are the ones that ask an agent to make sense of a CRM that was never addressed in terms of data quality. If you’re planning to lean into Agent Hub, Marketing Studio or the new AEO tooling this quarter, good to confirm that before rollout, not after a rep flags a wrong auto-filled field on a live deal.

FAQ

Is HubSpot getting rid of Breeze?

Nope. Breeze is dropping as an umbrella brandname. Individual products lose the Breeze prefix and are renamed e.g. Breeze Studio is now called Agent Builder. Breeze Assistant retains its name.

What is Context Home in HubSpot?

Context Home is where a HubSpot portal stores all the information it has about the business. Every AI feature in HubSpot, from Breeze Assistant to the new marketing agents, reads from this shared context to generate output.

What is HubSpot AEO?

With the public beta of HubSpot Answer Engine Optimization, you can see how often a brand is mentioned when people ask AI answer engines — like ChatGPT and Gemini — for recommendations, and how competitors show up in those same responses.

Do the new HubSpot agents replace existing workflows?

No. The new agents sit on top of the workflows you got. Agent Builder allows a legacy workflow to be migrated into an agentic version with a single click so teams can migrate when it makes sense for them, not when they are forced into it.

What is HubSpot doing with MCP and AI Connectors?

HubSpot is adding more support for the Model Context Protocol to bring portal data to tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and Claude, and to expose third-party app tools directly inside of HubSpot’s own Agent Builder.

Should I turn on the new HubSpot agents right away?

But only after you feed them the data accurately. First check Context Home and field mapping on any connected systems. If you build an agent from inconsistent CRM data, it will act on that inconsistency faster than a person would have.

Get Your Data Ready Before You Turn On the Next Agent

The gap between teams who benefit from this Spotlight and teams who don’t isn’t which agents they turn on first. It’s whether their HubSpot data is clean, current, and actually syncing with everything else in the stack. That’s the work we do every day as a HubSpot Diamond Solutions Partner, syncing 7 million fields daily across client portals, following the same HubSpot integration process on every engagement, and helping teams get their AI accelerator groundwork right before they layer on agents. If you want a second opinion on whether your portal is ready for what shipped at UNBOUND, talk to our team.
